Delhi - School Admission & Status of Education

When it Comes to New Academic Sessions, Nothing can be so Difficult & Terrifying for parents more than getting their kids admitted to School. We have Two Classes in Delhi - A Middle Class & Above who are dependent on Private Schools and a Poor Class which is dependent on Government Schools. Let us Visit the Reality of these Two Classes today.

Every Parent of this Middle class and above wants to get their kids admitted to the best possible school anticipating that the Quality of education given in these schools will make their careers, which is true that these Private schools are better equipped with Infrastructure & Teachers to make this dream come true for these parents. But do the parents get admissions in these schools - Yes if you have Money & Political influence. If no you need to be prepared for Sleepless Nights, Getting Trapped into Various Brokers, Dalals who will promise you of an Admission and then Charge Exorbitant sums of money and finally you get nothing. The Transactions are such that you never come to know to whom these dalals act as front-men and there are no proofs of this Transactions and hence you cannot approach police for help. The Basic Question is why the Government allows Individual Schools to decide on Admissions ? Why should School decide whom they want to admit ? There is a Point system in PLace and there is no Transparency, Most of the Parents who fail to get admissions in schools do not know why their kids could not get through, Were the Seats filled following rules ? Were there no admissions without following the Point Systems. How will the Parents know ? How can the Government Control such admission Process for these Schools ? Can they Put dedicated Officers to control and check the mechanisms of each school to certify their Admissions were Transparent & Fair. So what could be the Solution ?

When This Country Can Centralize All Professional Courses Admissions Centrally, Similarly why can't All School Admissions in Delhi be Centralized ? Let all Applications Come to Central Education Ministry with Relevant Details along with First 5 Choices of Schools by Parents. Let this Process Get Digital. Let the Central Process decide which Kid as per Points System gets which School. By this Way the Parents could go directly go to school and complete their Joining Formalities. Why Cannot this be done ? This is not done today because of Lobbying. Most of these Private Schools Owners have Interest of Politicians, The Local Politicians makes humongous Money Every Year. The School Management Gets a lot of money. Can we at-least spare Corruption in our Education. Can we not have a Clear & Honest Intent to give Bright Future for our Next Generation. We have a Government in Place today which has come in power promising honesty & transparency in Governance. Can Manish Sisodia take efforts in getting the admission process Centralized and take Admission Powers out of the School Management. People who have voted this Government to Power would have their Biggest Headache solved if the Admission Process from the next Academic year could be centralized. This will completely root out corruption & Mal-practice followed by schools and the Middlemen / Politicians.

Mr. Mahindra - Please Help - Cannot Bear Anymore

Hello Mr. Mahindra,

I Hope you know me, I escalated my Quanto Issue to you on Twitter Last Month Post which Only Your Service Center Responded. Iam Forced to write to you again and this Time I really Hope you will Understand the Plight and Give me a Resolution which I deserve.

1.     I escalated to you that My Quanto – DL 7CM 1285 ( 21000Kms) is Consistently giving me a Mileage of just 10.5 Kms /Ltr which is a Poor Performance in the Diesel Segment, Whereas the Company has Claimed almost 18 km/ltr as per your Terms which means that a Drop of 7.5 Km/ltr is a Huge Issue and it doesn’t make any sense to buy such a Vehicle which gives a mileage lesser than the Petrol Variants

2.     After I escalated to you last Month, Your Service Center Connected to me and They Took me on a Test Drive ( Carefully Ensuring that Somehow I am Proved Incorrect) on the Highway and Proved that it gives 15.80 Kms / Lts ( Which is still way below the Company Claims on Highway)

3.     I Kept Telling them Please Drive in the City which they ignored and asked me to test myself and Come Back with the Feedback. When I test Drove with the Same Tank Full Conditions the Result was the Same, Which I Again Escalated to you. The Head of Service Center again Connected to me and He Understood there was an Issue in My Vehicle, Kept Telling me not to worry and Since Mahindra Team is Involved we will Sort out the issue. They Picked my Car to Service Center and asked for 2 Days for the Testing

4.     I was Kept Informing that Some Changes have been Undertaken and They Again Did a City Drive and Finally Confirmed to me that the Issue is Resolved and Their Test Drive in the City have given them the Result of 14 km/ltr, They Delivered the Car back to me and wanted my Acknowledgement which i Refused stating that I will Test and then Agree, I asked them the Written Report of the Test Drive which they Claim and I hope they will give it to me.

5.     I have Again Driven 140 Kms on a Smooth City Drive for three Days and to my Shock the Results are Still the Same and My Quanto after all this Misleading Service Center Effort is Giving me 10.70 Kms / Ltr

6.     Please Understand my Plight, Why Would Anyone Buy a Car Priced at 7.5 Lacs for this Kind of Mileage in Diesel ( Charge Premium for Diesel Segment) when Even the Petrol Variants available in the Market with Better Luxury , the Cost of running is either the same or lesser

7.     I have touch based with Many Quanto Owners and All of them Claim that their Car gives an Average of 14 Kms/ ltr and Above in City and therefore Makes me Conclude that there is a Technical Issue in My Car which Mahindra is refusing to Acknowledge and resolve.

8.     For such a Large & Reputed Organization Does Customer Really Matter or Everything Boils down to Economics, I expect some Ethics from Mahindra to Acknowledge when there is a serious Issue, This is not my First Car and Have owned Three Cars in the Past and Therefore have a Significant Experience

9.     I Really Want to know whether My Issue will be resolved or I will be Forced to Fight for the Justice I deserve.

10.                        I leave it to You Finally to Advise me the Way forward as It wont be Feasible for me to Continue with such a Car which has a Severe Mileage Issue and Cannot be afforded at this Cost of Running

IRCTC - An Example of Brazenness & Public Loot

We have a So Called Indian Railways Reservation System Called IRCTC, The Country Dependent on Indian Railways for the Travel and about 97% of the Indian Population Cannot afford an Air Travel. What Kind of a Country we Live in when a Government Cannot even give a Facility of Seamless Ticket Booking to its Citizens for a Rail Travel. If we Dissect More the Truth is Even Bitter. There is Huge Nexus of Dalals & Railway Officials who do not let the Tatkal Booking Take Place for Common Man because thats a Hot Business which Fetches Instant Money Everyday. Right from 10am in the Morning till 11 am the IRCTC Website Seems Purposefully not let Common People get access and you are able to see only till the Seat Availability and you keep trying till you get access but till then All tickets are Booked. How Come this Happen, If there is a Common Server then How do Dalals Get the Tickets and Sell them to People at Higher Prices. Do they have a Separate Access ? How Do People of this Country are fooled everyday and we dont Stand up and Ask our Govt ? Dont we have a right to Book the Tickets when we need to Travel, Dont we have a right to Access our Public Transport when we pay Taxes to Run this Country. The Only Other Choice is is to go to the Ticket Counters and I bet if you are able to even do that because every Que is Managed by Dalals in the Knowledge of the Local Police Deployed. Sometimes you really feel you live in a Banana Republic when you are denied of even basic Rights for which you pay. Last Year this Issue was Highlighted by the Media and to further fool People some actions were taken such as the timing was changed from 8am to 10 am and then a Separate Que at the Counters for Tatkal Tickets besides a so called information that Railways have invested on Enhancing Servers. The Fact Still Remains that both at the Website Level & at Counters Only and Only Dalals Get tickets and not Common People. Time for all of us to Raise our Voice and fight for a Basic Right. Please Share as Much Possible to bring this to our Netas

Iam Writing to you as a Common Man as its been 5 Years that I have been a Huge admirer of you as one of the Most Trusted Journalist of the Country and always believed that you stand for Right and We have witnessed so many instances where you have brought the Hidden truth in National Media with Determination & Effort.

However Last 6 Months its ironical to see that Timenow as becoming as any other Channel which now seems do not have an intent to bring the truth to the Nation, Admirers like me have started doubting that why a Stalwart Journalist Like you too is becoming another Journalist who may not have an intent to Bring the facts to Public.

When a Sting of AAP was Released by “Mediasarkar”, As any other Channels Timesnow too Covered the entire Sting throughout the day and you had the Prime time Debate on the issue and we all witnessed how difficult Questions were raised to Shazia Ilmi and Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Anyone can understand that if such a Video Surfaces it is an Utmost Responsibility to bring it out to Public And which you did so effectively. I am sure your Intent was to bring the Truth out and Pose difficult questions to the accused to know the truth.

When the Raw Footage has come out and Iam one of them to Watch it in detail which clearly shows it was a dirty Sting and was made to Trap AAP and Change People’s Perception about this Party who claim to be Honest, AAP Not only held a Press Conference but has also put up the Raw Footage in the Website, However it is Shocking that such a Strong and Admired Journalist like you did not feel Responsible to Bring the Truth to Public Domain ? May I have the right to ask you why ?

As many of us, I am too a Professional fighting everyday to sustain and survive as most of us do in metros, However couple of years back when the Anti Corruption agitation took place, it not only opened the eyes of many but it also woke up our Morality & responsibility towards Nation. Arvind & Team decided to Come into the system and change the system which today is not only Rotten but has significantly eroded the the basic living of Lower Middle-class & Poor.

Mr Beni Prasad Verma ( Does he actually mean Anything to this Nation ?) makes a Statement that " Samajwadi Party will not win more than 4 seats in Loksabha Elections", Becomes a Headline and the entire day all our media Channels are worried of what Beni Prasad Verma said and what will Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav say in retaliation ( What an Important News for the Nation), 2 hours Later Mr. Shivpal Yadav ( Another Proof of Democracy Loophole) makes the Most important Statement for the cause of Nation - " Beni Prasad Verma is a Drug Addict" and this is such an important news that for the next 5 hours All our Media Friends finds it important that 100 Crore People of the Nation should know what Shivpal Yadav has said for Beni Prasad Verma, BUT None of them had ten minutes to see a Man who is fighting the battle of these Corrupt Politicians & System almost Alone on the Tenth day of his Fast for a Serious Cause of Inflated Electricity & Water Bills which has a solid Proof of Govt & Private Companies Collusion was important to be covered and let people of the capital & nation know that there is atleast One Educated & a Committed Man is doing something for a Common Man

Recommendations to Justice Verma

Last 15 Years, The Crime against Women have not only been Rampant, However the Way the Woman is Treated & Played in that Offense Committed not only is Fearsome but also tell us that this is Felt as a Much lesser Offense compared to Other Crimes by the Offender. This is Because of several Reasons

1. Police Officers at Lower Levels such as Constables & Sub inspectors are Trained Below Par, They Do not Know how to probe and More Importantly they are interested whether there could be any Money made out of this Case, Hence the First Help to the Victim itself ends up in a Serious Disaster, This Lowers the Morale of the Victim and Enhances the Pain in Multi Folds. Poor First Level Support of Police is the Prime Reason for the Offenders to commit such a crime without fear

2. The Victim is Not provided any Security & Support of Legal Course and hence are Vulnerable to more Torture & Harassment by the Accused during the Prosecution & Judicial Process

3. The Cases Lingers so long that Most of the Times the Witnesses turn Hostile or Victim withdraws the Case as it is un-affordable

4. The Conviction Rates are so low that there is absolutely no faith in current laws which demotivates a Victim to reach the End result

5. FINALLY The Punishment is so less that it just not matter to Offenders to do it again

There are Various Steps that are Required to be included in Amending the Current Laws and the following are Some Recommendations to Justice Verma


(a) Eve Teasing & Molestation Should be treated at par with Rape to ensure that the Beginning of a Sexual Offense is Curbed, The Punishments & Charges should be the same as Rape

(b) The Moment a Women goes through a Sexual Offense, Instead of the Women going to a Police Station, She Should be able to Call / Inform A Special Cell of Police which is Constituted of Only ACP's & DCP's and no one below such Ranks , who will be required to Reach the Victim within 30 Minutes

(c) This Cell would be Responsible to Take the Victim through All Processes including Medical & Statements which needs to be recorded, This Cell must be directly under the Police Commissioner

(d) The Involvement of Local Police in the Entire Process should be Nullified, This Special Cell should have No Jurisdiction Limits

(e) The Accused must be Traced & Arrested and this Process must be Non - Bailable

(f) Special Courts with Everyday Hearing with a utmost Time Limit of 3 Months for the Judge to Pass the Judgement

(g) Till Such time the Victim should be given Security by Default till the Judgement & Conviction of the Accused

(h) The Punishment should be a Minimum of Life Imprisonment and Capital Punishment Basis the Nature of the Offense, If Life Imprisonment Applies to Eve-teasing & Molestation this will be the first step towards curbing the Bigger Offense against Women

(i) The Offenders, Culprits & Convicted must be put into a National Database where in All Employers must need to mandatorily check this National Database before Hiring them for any Employment

(j) The Victim will need to be Compensated with a Minimum Amount of Rs 50 Lacs by State Govt and Also a Permanent Employment at State Govt Level

(k) As a Mandate This Sexual Crime Act should be Mandatorily Displayed in Every Channel of the Country as a Part of Corporate Social Responsibility so that the Citizens are Well Aware of the Punishments so that this acts as a Deterrent
